President Yoweri Museveni has today held separate meetings with visiting African leaders attending the 15th Ordinary Assembly of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government Summit at Speke Resort Hotel, Munyonyo in Kampala.

President Museveni received the Angolan leader Mr. Jose Eduardo dos Santos who, on behalf of the Government and people of Angola, conveyed his sincere condolences to President Museveni, the Government and the people of Uganda, upon the loss of innocent lives at the hands of terrorists who detonated bombs in Kampala on 11th July 2010 killing over 70 football fans. Mr. Eduardo dos Santos reaffirmed the solidarity of the people of Angola with their Ugandan brothers and sisters. He called for joint efforts in stemming the menace of terrorism in Africa. President Museveni and his guest also discussed issues of bilateral interest between Angola and Uganda.

Mr. Museveni also received and held talks with President Bozize Yangouvonda Francois of the Central African Republic who is among the 35 African leaders that are in the country for the 3-day AU Summit.
President Museveni warmly welcomed the Central African Republic leader to Uganda. The 2 Heads of State discussed issues pertaining to the security situation in the region.

President Bozize, on his part, also extended his heartfelt condolences to President Museveni, the Government and the people of Uganda upon the killing of innocent civilians in Kampala by terrorists two weeks ago.
State Minister for Regional Affairs, Mr.  Isaac Musumba, attended both meetings.
