Sunday, 18th March 2018
131 Officers of the Special Forces Command (SFC) have received their Pips at a ceremony held yesterday at the SFC Marine Base in Entebbe.

They are part of the 1,384 Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Officers that were promoted to various senior ranks recently by President Yoweri Museveni and Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda Armed Forces.

The SFC Officers’ Pipping ceremony included those promoted to the ranks of Colonel, Lieutenant Colonel, Major, Captain and Lieutenant.

The Commander of SFC, Brigadier Don Nabaasa presided over the ceremony and congratulated all the UPDF Officers promoted that were promoted last month over their well-deserved promotion. He also congratulated their spouses on their support to the Officers in achieving the promotions.

Brig. Nabaasa further thanked the Officers for working very hard to achieve the promotions adding that their accolades were a result of the work they had put into their assignments. He, however, observed that the new promotions entail added responsibilities that require more hard work.

He called on them to double their efforts as senior leaders. He also advised them to live by example to their junior officers by performing better at work and assured them that more promotions would come if they continue working work hard and operating in accordance with the required standard of SFC.
