Friday, 25th August 2017
President Yoweri Museveni has left for Malabo on a 4-day State Visit to Equatorial Guinea at the invitation of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
President Museveni was seen off at Entebbe International Airport this afternoon by Presidency Minister, Hon. Esther Mbayo.
Others at the airport included Head of Public Service, Mr. John Mitala and senior security Officers.
President Museveni and President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo signed a memorandum of understanding in April this year during the Guinean President’s State Visit to Uganda. That protocol between the 2 countries hinged on oil and gas co-operation as well as trade and culture among others. The protocol also laid the ground for the establishment of a permanent joint commission for co-operation between Uganda and Equatorial Guinea.
