President Receives Credentials of Equatorial Guinea Ambassador

President Yoweri Museveni has received credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to Uganda, Mr. Ondo Bakale.
During the ceremony that took place this afternoon at State House Entebbe, expressed happiness to note that his Equatorial Guinea counterpart, Mr. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, is implementing the agreement of opening up embassies across different countries and informed the new envoy that Uganda would soon open up an embassy in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea.
Ambassador Ondo Bakale thanked President Museveni for the good hospitality that he has been accorded in Uganda and promised to continue the good relations between his country and Uganda.
The President also received credentials of the new South Korean Ambassador, Mr. Kim You-Churl who used the occasion to deliver a special message from his President, Mr. Moon Jae-In, to Mr. Museveni.
The Korean envoy told President Museveni that during his tour of duties in the country, he will help the people of Uganda by developing a massive rice production project in Butebo in Eastern Uganda and as well as bringing Korean medical doctors to boost Uganda’s health sector, among other sectors.
President Museveni advised the Korean envoy to also consider planting upland rice or alternatively use irrigation schemes in order to save the swamps that form tributaries to the River Nile system. ENDS
