STATEMENT TO THE MEDIA ON THE EUROPEAN UNION PARLIAMENT RESOLUTION ON UGANDA

September 17, 2018

The Government of Uganda has seen resolution number 2018/2840 titled “arrest of parliamentarians in opposition in Uganda”, passed on September 13, 2018 in the EU parliament which has been circulated. Although the government of Uganda has not formally been served, we would like to imagine, that this resolution was passed at the instigation of what we generally believe are several NGOs operating in Europe and funding some of their entities in Uganda which petitioned these MPs. President Museveni Address to the State

I greet you all and I start my address by saying that the population of Uganda, on the 26thof January, 1986, when the NRM took over Kampala, was about 14million People. I say about 14million because the exact number was not known. What was known was that the census of 1969 was 9,535,051 million, the one of 1980 was 12,636,179 million and the one of 1991 was 16,671,705 million. Therefore, the population of Uganda in 1986 was somewhere between 13 million and 16.5 million. That is why I estimate it at 14million. The population of Uganda is now 40million. President Musevenis Response to Arua Incidents

Fellow Ugandans, thank you for your responses following my most recent post on events that followed the by-election in Arua Municipality. The problem in Arua was caused by Bobi Wine's group together with Kassiano Wadri, who attacked me, a useless action because I am protected and I can defend myself. The more serious issue is these chronically indisciplined people attacking women and children, destroying people's property etc. Who is Bobi Wine or anybody to beat our people and for what? Watch the videos of Jinja and Bugiri, which are attached to this post. Read more about President Musevenis Response to Arua Incidents

Yoweri Kaguta Museveni full Statement on Bobi wine and Zaake's Health Condition

Countrymen, Countrywomen and especially, the Bazukulu.
Greetings. Some days have gone by while what President Trump calls "fake news" generators, especially the Monitor and their TV, the NTV, have been putting it out that our grandson, the indisciplined Bobi Wine, is gravelly ill, he cannot talk etc.
They were putting it out that because of their "rough" handling of the MPs while arresting them, the Security forces could have done grievous damage to Bobi Wine.
