President Yoweri Museveni has called for discipline in the three branches and sub-branches of government. He said that discipline will help the country move forward and enumerated the three branches of the State as being the Executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary. President Yoweri Museveni has made an impromptu visit to the death site of one of the victims in the spate of murders that have sent shock waves around the community and forced security forces on a frantic search for answers. “People doing charity work Cannot take Anybody’s Land” – President Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has said people who claim to do charity work in the name of government, cannot take over anybody's land.
Featuring on Baba FM radio talk show in Jinja Municipality last evening, to explain pertinent issues about the proposed Land Amendment Act to the people of Busoga Sub-Region in particular and to all Ugandans, Mr. Museveni clarified the right of Government to use land for development. President gives Green Light to Purchase of Medical Equipment from Dutch Company

Thursday, 7th September 2017,
President Yoweri Museveni has granted permission to the Ministry of Health to purchase diagnostic medical equipment worth Euros 49 million, from Philips Africa (Pty) Ltd, a Dutch company based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The President made the decision today when he received a delegation from Philips Africa at the State Lodge in Fort Portal, Kabarole District. The Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Mr. Jasper Westerink led the delegation that also included the Dutch ambassador to Uganda, Mr. Henk Jan Bakker. HISTORIC OCCASION AS MUSEVENI, MAGUFULI LAY FOUNDATION STONE FOR CRUDE OIL PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION

President Yoweri Museveni and his Tanzania counterpart Joseph Pombe Magufuli today commissioned the construction of the 1,445km-long East African crude oil pipe line from Hoima district in Uganda to the Tanzanian port of Tanga.
The two leaders used the occasion to underscore the need for fast integration of the East African community so as to ease the joint planning, financing and implementation of major projects that are crucial for the development and transformation of the region. We are Eternally Grateful to UPDF & Museveni, Says Central Africa Republic

The Central Africa Republic government has thanked President Yoweri Museveni and the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) for helping secure their country and fighting the Lord’s Resistance Army rebels.
In a note to President Museveni, Mr Ghislain Dieu Beni Kolengo, the Governor of the Upper Mbomu province, one of the 14 provinces (prefectures) of the Central Africa Republic, said UPDF operations had “reduced the atrocities of the notorious LRA which had regressed us considerably”. Qatar Expresses Interest in Ayago Power Project

Wednesday, 19th July 2017
The visiting Qatari delegation comprising Dr. Hamad Saad Al and Eng. Fahad Ali Al, from Hassad Foods and Energy Fund, has expressed interest in investing in the Ayago Power project in Northern Uganda.

This was disclosed when President Yoweri Museveni received the delegation on Tuesday this week  who called on him at State House, Entebbe. State Minister for Privatization and Investment, Hon. Anite Evelyn, attended the meeting. Read more about Qatar Expresses Interest in Ayago Power Project
