President receives Makerere University Report

President Yoweri Museveni has received a 355-page report from the Visitation Committee of Makerere University 2016.
The Deputy Chairperson of the Visitation Committee, Hon. Lady Justice Ketrah Katunguuka, handed over the report to the President this afternoon at the President’s country home of Rwakitura in Kiruhuura district and was witnessed by the Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. UGANDA-RWANDA TIES SOLID

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has learned, with dismay, of the Red Pepper cover story carried on Monday November 20, 2017 with the headline “M7 plotting to overthrow Kagame – Rwanda” in which the Red Pepper reproduces a malicious article by a Rwandan online publication “Rushyashya” of an alleged plan by the Ugandan Government to overthrow the Rwanda Government.

The Ministry dismisses, with contempt, allegations carried by any media publications or platforms to the effect that relations between Rwanda and Uganda are anything but strong and cordial. Read more about UGANDA-RWANDA TIES SOLID

President al Bashir begins 2-day official visit to Uganda

Monday 13th November 2017
President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir of Sudan is in Uganda on a 2-day official at the invitation of President Yoweri Museveni.
President Bashir was this morning received at State House, Entebbe by his host President Museveni and a high-powered Uganda delegation that included Cabinet Ministers, Government Service Chiefs and senior government officials.
President al-Bashir was treated to a red carpet welcome and accorded a 21- gun salute. He also inspected a guard of honour mounted by the Uganda Police Force. Read more about President al Bashir begins 2-day official visit to Uganda
