President warns against Delaying Government Projects

President Yoweri Museveni has warned government leaders and Ministers against delaying government projects.

President Museveni who was today speaking at the ground breaking ceremony of the International Specialized Hospital of Uganda in Kyangalile Lubowa Estate, along the Kampala-Entebbe road said government is committed to ensuring that health services are brought closer to the people but because of bureaucracy, government projects are stalled. Government of Uganda takes exception over a litany of negative and non-factual or conjured accusations by the US Ambassador Deborah Malac made on the 3rd May 2017. Her condescending and rumbling statement exposed her bias as she sought to make Dr Stella Nyanzi the only subject of the press freedom day although Nyanzi doesn't qualify as a media person, and this isn't to suggest that her rights to free expression shouldn’t be respected within realms of Ugandan laws. 

Shs.1 billion Realized as President Museveni Fundraises for UWESO House

A total of over one billion shillings has been realized at a fundraising drive towards the construction of the Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO) Monumental House to be built on Spring Road at Bugolobi in Kampala City. Presidents Museveni, Mbasogo address Oil & Gas Convention

President Yoweri Museveni has called for more cooperation among oil and gas producing African countries. He was this morning addressing the joint oil and gas convention and regional expo at the Kampala Serena Hotel. The President of Equatorial Guinea, Mr. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Masogo, also addressed the convention before he concluded his 2-day state visit to Uganda. “Uganda is being Transformed by a Private Sector Driven Approach” – President Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has said that Uganda is being transformed through the private sector led growth.
“If you have to develop the country, we must do it through the private sector led growth. This is opposed to the old practice of running parastatals that were being subsidized by Government. President Museveni woos Investors as he Concludes Qatar State Visit.

President Yoweri Museveni concluded his three-day State visit to Qatar with calls to Qatari investors to set up shop in Uganda while giving them guarantees of government support. The President, who was invited by the Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, was accompanied to Doha by the 1st Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. President Congratulates security forces on arrest 2 officials on Bribe charges

President Yoweri Museveni has today congratulated the security forces for successfully arresting two Senior Government Officials, Ogor Mike, an Economist and Godfrey Turyabahika, a Commissioner in the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, who were involved in the act of taking bribes from investors.
