President Holds Bilateral Talks with Qatari Premier

President Yoweri Museveni has received and held bilateral talks with the visiting Prime Minister of Qatar, Ahmed Bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, who is also Minister for Cabinet Affairs.
During the meeting that took place today at State House, Entebbe, President Museveni and his guest who led an eight-man delegation, discussed political and economic issues with a view to strengthening development in both countries. President, French envoy Discuss Challenges in Africa

President Yoweri Museveni has said that the main cause of insecurity in Africa is the problem of interests versus identity.

The President made these observations today during a meeting at State House Entebbe where he received the French Ambassador to Uganda, Ms. Stephanie Rivoal.

Egyptian President commends Museveni on Security

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt has commended President Yoweri Museveni for his role in bringing peace to Uganda and the African continent as a whole.

President, IFC Discuss Bujagali Power Tariffs

President Yoweri Museveni has today received and held discussions with officials from the International Finance Corporation, a World Bank Group, who called on him at State House Entebbe.

The delegation, led by Mr. Cheikh Oumar Seydi, Regional Director Eastern and Southern Africa, discussed a variety of development issues with the President including working on modalities reducing the tariff of the electricity generated by Bujagali hydro-power dam from the current charge of US 11.3 Cents to US 5 Cents per unit. “Base Yourself in Uganda to Undertake Steel Processing” – President Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has urged the proprietors of the Kenya-based Abyssinia Group of Companies to base their investment activities in Uganda in order to ably undertake the processing of steel in the country.
The President said this last evening when he received the visiting Chief Executive Officer of the Group of Companies, Mr. Jateen Patel, who called on him last evening at State House, Entebbe.
