AT STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE

Cabinet sat on Monday October 28, 2019 at State House Entebbe, and;

1.Approved the proposal of declaring of the 100 Metre protection Zone of the Nile River Banks and the three central forest reserves of  Kalagala, Namavudu and Nile Bank in the extended Kalagala-Itanda Offset Area (EKIOA) as Kalagala- Itanda Special Conservation Area to ensure its legally binding, long term conservation and protection.

2.Approved the amendment of the Statutory Instrument on declaring the extended Kalagala - Itanda Offset Area (EKIOA) as a Central Forest Reserve in compliance with the laws on land acquisition and the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda
