Five new Envoys Present credentials to President Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has received credentials of 5 newly appointed Ambassadors to Uganda.

During the separate ceremonies that took place today in the afternoon at State House, Entebbe, envoys from Iceland, South Korea, Turkey, the UN and Finland presented their letters of credence witnessed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sam Kuteesa and a number of officials from the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

President Museveni commended the good relationship that happily exists between Uganda and Iceland as Ambassador Unnur Orradottir Ramette, presented her credentials to him.

Later, the President received the credentials of the South Korean Ambassador, Ha Byung-Koo, whom he congratulated on his appointment.
The new South Korean Ambassador conveyed greetings from his country’s leader to President Museveni and the people of Uganda.

The President urged the new Turkish Ambassador, Fikret Kerem, to work for the coming to Uganda of more Turkish investors especially in the sectors of agro-processing, textiles and tourism, among others.

Receiving the credentials of the new United Nations Resident Coordinator, Ms. Rosa Malango, Mr. Museveni wished her fruitful deliberations during her stay in Uganda. In a toast, President Museveni wished good health to the UN Secretary General.

The President called for active collaboration between Uganda and Finland in the business sector as he received letters of credence of the new Finnish Ambassador, Erik Luncberg.
