President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has revealed that most of the problems that affect Ugandans are caused by leaders.

According to the President, if the leaders are transparent, many problems affecting the citizens would not be in existence.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Wednesday 29th November 2023 met and held a brief interaction with Mexican global conservationist and media influencer, Mr. Arturo Islas Allende during the Presidential Investors Conference at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.

During the interaction, President Museveni informed Mr. Allende that Uganda always welcomes and is ready to work with any positive-minded person who is willing to help the country achieve its socio-economic transformation agenda.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday met and held discussions with the Ambassador of the United States of America (USA) to Uganda, H.E William W. Popp at State House Entebbe. 

During the meeting, President Museveni and Ambassador Popp discussed a wide range of topics including the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) issue. 

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has warned public officials against taxing innovations, saying that culprits will be dealt with, according to the law.

According to the President, there's no logic in taxing innovations when Uganda even gives tax holidays to products which are not a result of new ideas.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni today met and held discussions with the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The discussion between the two leaders centred around strengthening the bilateral relations between Uganda and the UAE, investment opportunities in the pathogenic economy, renewable energy and sustainability. 

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, yesterday, November 18, 2023, inspected and assessed the readiness of various infrastructure projects ahead of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Group of 77 (G-77) +China Third South summits. 

Uganda will host the two summits from 15th-23rd January 2024 at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kampala. 

NAM will run under the theme: “Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence” whereas the Third South summit will focus on “Leaving No One Behind”.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today met and held discussions with the President of São Tomé and Principe, H.E Carlos Manuel Vila Nova. 

During a meeting held at State House Entebbe, the two leaders discussed issues concerning bilateral relations between the two countries, with key focus on economic cooperation.

President Museveni assured his guest that Uganda is ready to cooperate with São Tomé and Principe in various sectors of the economy. 

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today launched the newly constructed Kitgum Main Market. 

The President commissioned the market during Uganda's 61st Independence Anniversary celebrations, held in Kitgum District under the theme: “Sustaining a United and Progressive Nation: Taking Charge of Our Future as a Free Nation”. 

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today met the outgoing Algerian Ambassador to Uganda, H.E Cherif Oualid who paid a courtesy call on him at State House Entebbe. 

During the meeting, President Museveni bid farewell to Ambassador Cherif and thanked him for the good work during his time of service in Uganda. 

“I'm very happy you have done a good job,” the President said. 

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is also the Commander In Chief of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) yesterday passed out a total of 4,212 Local Defence Personnel (LDP) at Olilim Training School, in Katakwi District. 

During the ceremony, Gen. Museveni congratulated the trainees and all Ugandans in general for moving forward in terms of building strong institutions like the army.
