PRESIDENT MUSEVENI RECEIVES CREDENTIALS FROM 9 NEW ENVOYS TO UGANDA

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has received credentials from nine (9) envoys, newly accredited to Uganda.

The envoys who included Ambassadors and High Commissioners from the Republic of Ethiopia, India, Belgium, Namibia, Malawi, Philippines, Mozambique, Brazil and Canada presented their credentials on Tuesday 22nd August 2023 at State House, Entebbe.

“PROMOTE POLITICS OF INTEREST FOR STABILITY” - PRESIDENT MUSEVENI URGES AFRO-ARAB YOUTH COUNCIL MEMBERS

H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appealed to the members of the Afro-Arab Youth Council to promote politics of interest in order to maintain peace and stability among member countries.

“As a powerful youth group, you should strengthen that idea and spread it,” he said.

President Museveni made the remarks today while meeting a delegation from the Afro-Arab Youth Council at State Lodge-Nakasero.

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI CAUTIONS THE YOUTHS AGAINST WRONG IDEOLOGY AND INDISCIPLINE

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appealed to the youths to desist from embracing a wrong Ideology of sectarianism, religion and tribes and working for foreign interests.

 

“If you take that line, you will fail because I have been watching all these years many of the people who came in power at Independence were young people but because they did not address the issue of ideology, that is why we had so many problems in Uganda,” President Museveni said.

“ELEVATE PPG UNIT TO RETAIN PROMOTED OFFICERS” - BRIG. BAINABABO ASKS IGP OCHOLA

The Deputy Commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC) Brig. Charity Bainababo has asked the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Martin Okoth Ochola to consider elevating the Police Presidential Guard (PPG) to a bigger unit to enable them to retain the promoted officers who have experience to serve the country better.

The PPG officers are drawn from the Uganda Police Force.
