President leaves for Angola for Uganda-Rwanda Summit

President Yoweri Museveni has left for Luanda, Capital of Angola, to attend the 3rd Quadripartite Summit on the implementation of the Luanda Agreements that were signed between Uganda and neighbouring Rwanda in the Angolan Capital on 21st August 2019 to solve the tensions between the 2 East African Community members.

The Summit is being co-hosted by President Joao Lourenco of Angola and President Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

President Museveni was seen off this morning at Entebbe International Airport by Presidency Minister, Hon. Mbayo Esther and the Head of Public Service, Mr. John Mitala.

 Others at the Airport to see off the President included the Commander of the Uganda People’s Defence Air Force (UPDAF), Lt. Gen. Charles Lwanga Lutaaya, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Assan Kasingye, and the Acting Commissioner (Administration) in the Uganda Prisons Services, Mr. Tumuhimbise Gervase. ENDS
