President Museveni meets with Speaker of Hungary

President Yoweri Museveni has today met with the visiting Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, Dr. Laszlo Kover and his delegation, at State House, Entebbe.
Dr. Laszlo Kover has been Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary since August 2010 who got re-elected on 8th May 2018. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Fidesz-Hungarian Civic Union.
During the meeting where the President and his guests discussed issues pertaining to further boosting the trade and bilateral relations between Uganda and Hungary, President Museveni also called for Hungarian consideration to investing in pharmaceutical companies in Uganda through the establishment of joint ventures.
 Dr. Laszlo concurred with the President that the arrangement would be good investment that would go a long way in improving trade relations between the two countries, taking cognizance of the fact that the volume of trade between the two is still low.
President Museveni gifted the Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly historical and tourism books about Uganda while the visiting Speaker gave a Hungarian jar to the President.
Parliamentary Speaker, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga and State Minister for International Affairs, Hon. Okello Oryem, attended the meeting.
