PRESIDENT MUSEVENI AND HIS SAO TOME AND PRINCIPE COUNTERPART DISCUSS ECONOMIC COOPERATION

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today met and held discussions with the President of São Tomé and Principe, H.E Carlos Manuel Vila Nova. 

During a meeting held at State House Entebbe, the two leaders discussed issues concerning bilateral relations between the two countries, with key focus on economic cooperation.

President Museveni assured his guest that Uganda is ready to cooperate with São Tomé and Principe in various sectors of the economy. 

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI CHALLENGES LOCAL SCIENTISTS TO FAST-TRACK HIV/AIDS VACCINE DEVELOPMENT AS HE COMMISSIONS BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT CENTER

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has challenged local scientists to fast- track the development of the HIV/AIDS vaccine.

 

“It's good that you are waking up, and we must get the vaccine,” he said.

The President made the remarks today as the Chief Guest during the Joint Clinical Research Center (JCRC) 30th Anniversary celebrations held at the center's headquarters in Lubowa, along Entebbe Road, Wakiso District.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has wooed foreign investors to invest in Uganda, saying that the East African country has a lot of investment opportunities with a readily available market. 

 

“When you produce a good or a service, who will buy the product? In the case of Uganda, you have the possibility of both. When you are here, you produce a good or a service and you will be assured of the market,” he said.

GOVERNMENT PARTNERS WITH TURKISH COMPANY TO SET UP STATE OF THE ART MULTIPURPOSE INDOOR SPORTS COMPLEX AT LUGOGO

The government of Uganda has partnered with Summa, a Turkish construction company, to construct a modern state of the art multipurpose indoor sports complex with a seating capacity of 15,000 people.

The complex will be set up at the premises of the National Council of Sports (NCS) at Lugogo, Kampala.

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI INSISTS ON DIGITAL NUMBER PLATES PROJECT, SAYS IT WILL BE A BIG BLOW TO CRIME

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has insisted that the digital motor number plates project must go on as planned, saying it will be very vital in fighting crime in Uganda.

“Now, I'm insisting on the issue of electronic number plates; It will be a very big blow to crime because most of the people move to and from the scene of crime by either a vehicle or a boda boda,” said President Museveni who is also the Commander In Chief of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).
