President Museveni returns from 1st Russia-Africa Summit

President Yoweri Museveni is back home from the Russian Coastal City of Sochi where he joined other African Heads of State and Government for a 2-day Russia-Africa Summit.

The Summit took place under the theme ‘Uncovering the Potential for Cooperation’ and aimed at strengthening and expanding Russia’s relations and areas of cooperation with Africa in the political, social and economic matters.

President Museveni was on arrival at Entebbe International Airport this afternoon received by Presidency Minister, Hon. Esther Mbayo.

Others at the Airport included the Head of Public Service, Mr. John Mitala, the Commander of Air Forces, Maj. Gen. Charles Lwanga Lutaay, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mr. Andrew Sorowen and Director of Correctional Services in the Uganda Prisons Services, Mr. Akena Samuel. ENDS
