KIGALI, RWANDA: President Yoweri Museveni has told world leaders, there is a need to redesign the global value chains in post-Covid19 to address the challenges identified.
In a statement read for him by Uganda’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs, Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, the President said the Commonwealth forum could be the starting point in these efforts.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has this evening returned from the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, where he had gone for a one-day working visit at the invitation of his Kenyan counterpart, H.E Uhuru Kenyatta.
President Museveni was received on arrival at Entebbe International Airport by the Minister for the Presidency, Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda, the Head of Public Service and Secretary to Cabinet, Mrs. Lucy Nakyobe Mbonye.
The leadership of Bukedi sub-region has highly commended President Yoweri Museveni and the NRM government for establishing an Industrial Hub in their area and pledged to cooperate and ensure the purpose of the facility is fulfilled.
“We appreciate President Museveni for the Hub meant to transform the livelihoods of the youths,” the RDC of the host district, Kibuku, Ms. Nalongo Kwesiga said.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who is also the Commander in Chief (C-i-C) of the Uganda People's Defense Forces (UPDF), has said that the country is safe and stable save for a few pockets of insecurity that are being handled.
"The security situation in the country is good. There are a few little things which are easy to deal with, like the cattle rustling in Karamoja, that will be dealt with. Then for the ADF in Congo, your colleagues are dealing with that," Museveni said.
