Gen. Museveni to UPDF “Monitor Progression of staff Personnel”

KABAMBA MILITARY ACADEMY: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is also the Commander in Chief of the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces has said leadership must be equal or greater than the number of troops under their command at each level and directed the UPDF leadership to always keep abreast with those requirements including deliberately training leaders and officers of the right level and age of command at Platoon, Company levels.

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Yoweri Museveni has strongly urged educationists and parents as well as all leaders in Uganda to guide students on what courses to pursue that are on the job market.

“Education without aim is very dangerous especially for the family who spend money on children doing courses which dont have market on the for sectors is a very big mistake,” he said.

“Uganda will never be found wanting in the effort of African liberation or integration,” he said.

President attends Hannington day Celebrations in Busoga

President Yoweri Museveni has said though Bishop James Hannington was killed in ignorance, his death has helped the people to get enlightened. He welcomed the idea of making the day a public holiday.

“This was the only Bishop to be martyred at that time. The next one was Janan Luwum whose cases are both unique and need to be handled like that. We shall do what is necessary as it is worthwhile,” he noted to the joy of the congregation.

President Museveni meets IPOD Delegation

President Yoweri Museveni has urged leaders of the opposition political parties in the country, together with their supporters, to work with the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Government to eradicate electoral violence and the monetization of politics to give democracy and stability a chance to flourish in Uganda.
“These are very serious matters. If you want democracy and stability, you should not tolerate this electoral violence and money,” he said.
