STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: Trade irregularities between Kenya and Uganda should be eliminated using a strategic analysis as long as there is good-will between the two countries through frank discussions, President Yoweri Museveni has said.
STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Museveni has emphasized the need to stand by the principles of Patriotism and Pan Africanism for prosperity to flourish and also to achieve the social economic transformation of the society.
The President was yesterday giving an opportunity lecture to a delegation of Officers, Men and students of Kenya Defense Staff College Karen who paid a courtesy call on him at State House Entebbe.
STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Yoweri Museveni has strongly urged educationists and parents as well as all leaders in Uganda to guide students on what courses to pursue that are on the job market.
“Education without aim is very dangerous especially for the family who spend money on children doing courses which dont have market on the for sectors is a very big mistake,” he said.
“O you People of Little Faith
In the Book of Mathew Chapter 8, Verses 23 to 26, Jesus, while rebuking the winds, said: “Why are you afraid, O you people of little faith? This was as a consequence of lack of faith when the boat they were sitting in was being swamped by the waves and His disciples were afraid that they were going to perish.
STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Yoweri Museveni has stressed Uganda’s commitment to ensure the implementation of East African Integration and that of Africa to create a big market for the produce that will in turn lead to the prosperity of the people.
“Uganda will never be found wanting in the effort of African liberation or integration,” he said.
President Yoweri Museveni has said though Bishop James Hannington was killed in ignorance, his death has helped the people to get enlightened. He welcomed the idea of making the day a public holiday.
“This was the only Bishop to be martyred at that time. The next one was Janan Luwum whose cases are both unique and need to be handled like that. We shall do what is necessary as it is worthwhile,” he noted to the joy of the congregation.
President Yoweri Museveni has challenged Ugandans and the youth in particular to appreciate the goodness in keeping their culture and heritage in the face of modernity in order to sustain the stability of their cultural traits.
President Yoweri Museveni has pledged Shs.500 million towards All Saints’ New Cathedral construction project. The Cathedral is seat of the Anglican Diocese of Kampala.
President Yoweri Museveni has urged leaders of the opposition political parties in the country, together with their supporters, to work with the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Government to eradicate electoral violence and the monetization of politics to give democracy and stability a chance to flourish in Uganda.
“These are very serious matters. If you want democracy and stability, you should not tolerate this electoral violence and money,” he said.
President Yoweri Museveni has re-assured investors that there will be permanent security assigned to Industrial Park areas and factories.
He was meeting the Chinese Ambassador to Uganda, Mr. Zheng Zhu Qiang, who called on him today at State House Entebbe.
The envoy had expressed concern over recent attacks by thugs on Chinese investors.
