MBARARA CITY: President Yoweri Museveni who is the NRM Presidential flag bearer has urged leaders and Ugandans in general to strictly follow the Ministry of Healths Standard Operating Procedures in the fight against COVID-19 including wearing masks while in public, washing hands with soap and water, sanitizing and social distancing warning that COVI-19 is deadly and getting worse. 

JINJA STATE LODGE: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has met and held discussions with the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) Special Envoys to Uganda about the situation in South Sudan. 

SIRONKO DISTRICT: President Yoweri Museveni who has concluded his 3 day campaign trail in Bugisu sub-region has said NRM has the capacity to accomplish all her tasks but reiterated his call to the electorate to send to parliament leaders who will support him to push for proper budgeting of resources. 

CELECELEA STADIUM, MOYO: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has urged the NRM leaders to maintain the spirit of service to the people by attending to their needs and create more unity and development and avoiding politics of identity.

LIRA CITY: President Museveni has today advised the youth from Lango sub region that they must be able to create ideas that seek to manage the society and develop it, just like the NRM government has done.

“I hear people say young people, but with the management of society, we are talking of ideology and not biology. You can be young but confused, old but clear headed,” he said.

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Yoweri Museveni has received the United Nation’s Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations for Africa, Bintou Keita and discussed political, peace and security matters affecting the Great Lakes countries of the DR Congo, Burundi and Somalia among others.

ARUA CITY: West Nile should brace for accelerated development as the government and private players undertake new electricity projects in the region, President Museveni has said. 

The President made the remarks yesterday (Sunday) in Arua City as he launched three major projects in Arua; a 132kV electricity transmission line, an 8MW thermal power plant and a value-processing factory for cereals. 

ATIAK, AMURU DISTRICT: President Yoweri Museveni has commissioned the multi billion shillings Atiak Sugar Factory in Atiak sub county, Kilak county, Amuru district, 85 Km from Gulu City on Gulu-Nimule road.

The colourful ceremony yesterday October 22, was witnessed by both Uganda and Somali top government officials including the First Lady of the Republic of Somalia, Saynab Abdi Moallim.

LIRA DISTRICT: President Yoweri Museveni has commissioned multibillion road works for the construction of the 100 km Rwekunyu-Apac-Lira-Puranga road with an original contract price of Shs UGX 337,526,153,350 and a 36 months projection duration.        

Speaking during the ceremony at Anai Primary School outside Lira City, the President said that in planning for development, government considers priorities. 

KIRUHURA DISTRICT: President Yoweri Museveni has said since the NRM government came to power, there has been a ray of hope in the agriculture sector that has seen surplus in production.

“Ugandans have been awakened. Most of the agriculture produce like matooke, coffee, maize…and even minerals like cement are being produced in big quantities. Everything is produced in surplus,” he said.
