President asks Judiciary to prioritize Business issues to prevent Uganda from bad Reputation

President Yoweri Museveni has asked the judiciary in the country to prioritize disposal of business cases so that Uganda is prevented from having a bad reputation. 

“Uganda’s competitive advantage should not be interrupted by slow commercial justice. Start with business issues because slow justice can give Uganda a bad reputation. Investors are setting up factories in Uganda because we have ensured security. We have got a strong Army,” he said.

President Passes out skilled youth in Bugweri District

President Yoweri Museveni has advised the youth in Bugweri District in Busoga Sub-Region to get involved deeply in fish farming activities at the edge of swamps instead of destroying wetlands by growing rice in them.

“I proposed to the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister Kirunda Kivejinja fish farming instead of rice growing that dries up swamps. This venture could save many youth from poverty,” he said.

President meets Lebanese Investors, urges them to invest in Uganda

President Yoweri Museveni has urged foreign investors to consider investing their money and skills in Uganda saying the country has a conducive investment climate.

He made the remarks today while meeting Mr. Ibrahim Zakhem, the Vice President of Zakhem International Construction Limited, a Civil and Mechanical Engineering Company based in Beirut, Lebanon. 

“Use prevailing peace to develop your talents” – President Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has advised the people of Uganda to take full advantage of the prevailing countrywide peace that was ushered in by the NRM Government to develop their God-given talents.

"I urge the people in the country to utilize all the opportunities in talent development that can be identified under NRM leadership so that those talents can be usefully developed," he said.

President commends Tororo Catholic Church on income Projects

President Yoweri Museveni has highly praised Tororo Catholic Church for supplementing Government’s efforts by initiating income-generating projects that will go a long way in helping wananchi to decisively fight poverty.

“I am happy to be in Soni-Kainja to find the word ‘Chewi’ meaning waking up. The Chewi is behind the classrooms here – green houses – where you can grow crops in a small area,” he said.
