President Museveni meets Bollywood film Stars

 

President Yoweri Museveni has encouraged Indian film-makers from Bollywood to promote Uganda’s beauty and investment potential through films adding that government is willing to support them.

The President was this afternoon meeting the Bollywood actors led by Bharat Dabholkar who called on him at State Lodge in Nakasero. He urged them to bring more tourists from India to Uganda where they can enjoy Uganda’s beautiful culture, nature and beautiful weather.

CPA Endorses President Museveni as Deputy Chair Commonwealth Conference

President Yoweri Museveni has received and accepted an invitation from the Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association who is also the Deputy Speaker of the Cameroon National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emilia Monjowa Lifaka to become the deputy patron of the Commonwealth Conference. The patron is Queen Elizabeth the 2nd of the United Kingdom. 

“Use Infrastructure to Overcome poverty” – President to Ugandans

President Yoweri Museveni has said that whereas the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Government has lifted Uganda from a collapsed state and economy and registered commendable development especially in the infrastructure sector of the economy, the failure by majority of Ugandans to make good use of it to produce, generate wealth and overcome household poverty, remains a roadblock to the country’s prosperity agenda.

“Know the People you lead to Serve them Better” – President tells RDCs

President Yoweri Museveni has urged Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) to expend their efforts at knowing the kind of people that they lead in their different places of work in order to appreciate and serve them better.
The President was yesterday speaking at the closing of the one-week retreat for RDCs and Deputy RDCs at State House, Entebbe. The retreat had been held at the National Leadership Institute, (NALI) in Kyankwanzi District.

“Stop Harvesting Premature Coffee” –President Museveni advises Farmers

President Yoweri Museveni has called on farmers in the country to stop harvesting premature coffee saying that processors of the crop should reject premature coffee beans and strive to ensure totally eradication of the vice.
“Stop harvesting premature coffee. It compromises the quality of the finished product. This vice affects Uganda’s competitiveness in the world market. All processors should reject such premature coffee beans and ensure that we totally eliminate this vice,” he said.

Mbarara Senior officials Held by CID over alleged Corruption

The Head of the Anti–Corruption Unit in State House, Lt. Col. Edith Nakalema has strongly appealed to all Ugandans to help the Unit in the fight against corruption by exposing those engaged in the vice.
“I appeal to all Ugandans to help us in the fight against corruption. We also look forward to having the media as our partners in exposing corrupt officials in government,” she stressed.

“We are Ready for Cooperation” – President Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has said that the Government of Uganda is ready to cooporate with the Government of the Republic of Serbia in order to revive the 2 countries’ relationship in paving the way for joint ventures.
The President also extended an invitation to his Serb counterpart to visit Uganda.
“We are ready for cooperation and I would like to invite the President of Serbia to come and visit Uganda. We shall welcome him,” he said.
