President Congratulates Eddy Kenzo on Music Achievements

President Yoweri Museveni has congratulated Eddy Kenzo, one of Uganda’s high sounding and outgoing personality in the music industry, for making very good achievements in the music and entertainment sector.

"I want to congratulate Kenzo for making very good contribution in music. He was a street boy and an orphan but he had a talent of singing,'' said President Museveni.

The President made the remarks yesterday at State House, Entebbe when he met Eddy Kenzo. 

President Museveni returns from 1st Russia-Africa Summit

President Yoweri Museveni is back home from the Russian Coastal City of Sochi where he joined other African Heads of State and Government for a 2-day Russia-Africa Summit.

The Summit took place under the theme ‘Uncovering the Potential for Cooperation’ and aimed at strengthening and expanding Russia’s relations and areas of cooperation with Africa in the political, social and economic matters.

President Museveni was on arrival at Entebbe International Airport this afternoon received by Presidency Minister, Hon. Esther Mbayo.

President Receives Special message from Ethiopian Premier

President Yoweri Museveni has received a special message from the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Mr. Abiy Ahmed.

The message was delivered to the President by the Ethiopian Prime Minister’s Special Envoy Ms. Hirut Zemene who is also State Minister of Foreign Affairs, this afternoon at the President’s country home in Rwakitura, Nyabishozi County in Kiruhuura District.

President Museveni returns from 2-day visit to Ethiopia

President Museveni is back home from a two-day working visit to Ethiopia where he joined other regional leaders to witness the inauguration ceremony of Unity Park, among others, that took place yesterday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital.

Other leaders who attended the inauguration ceremony included Presidents Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, Salva Kiir of South Sudan, Mohamed Abdulahi of Somalia and Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdock of Sudan. 

President Directs on funds for approved Technology Innovations

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Yoweri Museveni has directed the Ministries of Finance and Economic Planning and that of Science, Technology and Innovation, to avail funds for the registration of tested and approved science and technology innovations that are a product of many years of research by the Food and Science Department and  the Faculty of Veterinary Services of Makerere University.

Value the Institution of Marriage, President Urges Youth

MUNYONYO, KAMPALA: President Yoweri Museveni has urged the youth to embrace the institution of marriage by carefully selecting responsible, God fearing partners for stable homes. 

The President was yesterday speaking at the marriage ceremony of Isaac Kutesa and Yvette Kamurasi at Munyonyo Peace Hub in Kampala City during a church session where the newly wed couple tied the knot. 

“Continue support to NRM” – President Museveni to Hoima Residents

President Yoweri Museveni, who is the National Chairman of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), has urged the people of Kigorobya County in particular and Hoima District in general, to continue supporting the Movement because it is the Movement that brought about peace and stability in Uganda, ushered in the politics of national unity and revitalized the national economy.
